Our process

We offer the full range of landscape gardening services, from garden design planning and consultancy, right through to managing the entire project. We also offer help and support to run through an external tendering process if that is your preferred route.

Consultation and design

Initial consultation

Meeting on site at your garden for a walk around and discussion about your projects and its possibilities. Following this a chance to see my portfolio and explain my process. If requested to following this I would put in a proposal for the first of 2 stages your design process.

Design Brief

Using a questionnaire and gathered images, I would write a detailed document outlining every aspect of your garden needs which will inform the design and be the basis of everything you need. This is hugely important and we would take great care to be sure we fully understand each other in this process.

Survey

This would often be completed by a third party surveyor and would deliver a scaled outline of your existing garden including levels.

Site Analysis

I would check the survey and record any further information on site.

Outline Plan

A detailed scale drawing in colour of your new garden Scheme including annotations of some material choices.

This isn’t always necessary however detailed drawings are often of use to the build contractor.

This is the specific instruction as to exactly what, how, and where everything goes.

I can advise on this having worked with many skilled craftsmen and women over the years.

Planting

I often offer to deliver the plants and planting myself.

Project monitoring

Overseeing of the build and final sign off.
